Fine breakfast this morning, this time taken out in the SUN on the terrase with no wind.
Decided to take it easy today, the "vacation from the vacation" as they call it on Rick Steve's tours. Golfe-Juan is the seaside extension of Villauris, just west of Juan les Pins on the coast. Big marina and sandy beaches on both side of the marina. We spent 4-5 hours there today.
We did the typical Mediterranean beach routine; rent chairs and umbrellas to sit in a private segment of beach, separate from the public portion which offers no amenities. Of course, each private beach has it's own restaurant with beachside dining, but we didn't partake of that as we have a reservation at Le Cafe du Coin again tonight.
Dinner was great again and we were greeted by name when we arrived, and wished farewell, as if we were old friends, on departure. Even the chef asked us how we liked our meals as we went past the kitchen! It was much quieter tonight than last night ...... the big group of twelve, which would fill most of the inside seating, hadn't yet arrived. I used my French and they were cooperative in helping me out with that.
Tomorrow's a work day; our weekly laundry in the morning, then make plans for dinner, always tough on Sundays. Will drive north to Valbonne in the afternoon.
Walked - 1.9 miles
Drove - 14 km
