Retirement Odyssey

As predicted, the majority of the day was dark and rainy. Fortunately, the sun came out for 2 hours in the afternoon, so I made a quick climb to the top of the cathedral's bell tower.

Spent time inside the cathedral today as we had purposely skipped that yesterday. Quite a bit darker w/o the sun outside!

Had to picnic in the room; not so bad as it's a nice big bright room. Afterwards, we walked to the Palais Jacques Coeur, just 50 meters down the street from our hotel! It's a magnificent city palace built 1443-1451 by Jacque, the financial minister for King Charles VII, who ALSO had a large merchant shipping business.

Dinner at Au Senat was fine BUT the dining room was crowded and noisy, filled with and American tour group. Hope our Rick Steve's groups aren't like that!! (Ooops! We think they were an RS group!)

Walked - 5.3 miles

Drove - zero km
