Semester in Europe!

We woke up and took the bus over to the Vatican for church! It was so crowded I cannot imagine what it is going to be like on Easter. The service is held outside St. Peter's in the square. Pope Francis comes out a window up high in a building and gives the service from up there! It was such a perfect beautiful day to go see this happen. The service was relatively quick and even though we could not understand what he said, it was still very cool to experience. We then went to one of our favorite gelato places over by the Vatican called Old Bridge. For lunch we went to this burger place that I saw in passing and it was delicious! They had a veggie burger that I got and it was so good. After lunch we made our way over to the Colosseum after stopping for coffee first. On our way we also found one of my new favorite views looking over the Roman Forum. Everything is free to enter on the first Sunday of the month, so the line to get inside the Colosseum was insane! But it was worth the wait! We spent an hour or so walking around and showing Marisa and Alexa's boyfriend around. After this, we stopped for coffee again and had authentic cannolis. The way that you tell if it is authentic is when you walk into the store they have empty shells and they fill it in front of you! It was absolutely delicious. We then walked back to my apartment where Marisa packed up her stuff before we walked her to the train station! Then Justine and I watched Divergent (getting ready for the third one to come out) and went to bed early because we were so tired from our packed weekend!
