WE MADE IT! We woke up this morning and packed our things and checked out of the hotel before going and taking our final exam in our Italian class! The test was so easy. It is very nice being a step ahead in that class because I did not even have to study for the exam. I am very excited to start my Italian classes here in Rome and see how much I am able to progress while here. After the test we went to the pharmacy so I could get medicine to solve this head cold that I seem to have. Then we went to the grocery store and stocked up on snacks for the bus ride! We then hit up my favorite pizza place one last time before heading back to the hotel to board the bus to Rome! The bus ride was awesome, I slept almost the whole time so when we got to Rome around 4pm I was ready to go!! We stopped at a bus stop where private cars were waiting to take us to our individual apartments. We pulled up to the apartment not expecting anything larger than a postage stamp... but we were surprised! Not only did it have an elevator up to our own floor, but there were grand doors beaconing us into our home for the next three months. We walked in and instantly were blown away by how large our apartment was! We have a full kitchen/breakfast sitting area, a long hallway with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a large living room with another room connected to that! It is a lot larger than I expected and we are totally going to be more than fine this semester living here! We are right around a lot of little restaurants so finding food shouldn't be hard either! Our landlord showed us how to work different things in our apartment before he took us on a tour of the neighborhood. He showed us where the grocery store was, as well as a good way to get to school and other good restaurants. After he left us, we went and got pasta at this cheap place about a block or two from our apartment. We then went to the grocery store to stock up on breakfast and snack items! The grocery store was larger than the one in Florence and was very nice and very cheap!! We were excited! We then came back and unpacked and got settled in our new home!
