Semester in Europe!

So this morning we woke up and went out to breakfast at another waffle place! But not before going to get Starbucks first of course. We tried a new waffle place this morning, but we decided that we liked our first place the best!! After breakfast we went back and got our stuff together to check out of the hostel. We then, with our stuff, made our way to the subway station and bought a 24-hour pass for only 7 Euros that we took to the Atomium! This structure is a giant, metal structure of an atom that was built for the World's Fair back in the 1940's I believe. It was massive!! Around it is a little amusement park with a lot of restaurants and small rides. It also has a movie theater. We went in the amusement park section to try to find their representation of "Mini Europe," which is an attraction that portrays all the "bests" of Europe in miniature size! Unfortunately, it was closed! So then we took the subway, and then the bus, to the airport with our passes. We got to the airport, went through security, and got some lunch there before boarding! Unfortunately, Alexa's ticket was somehow booked for the same flight the following day... so when we were boarding they stopped her and wouldn't let her on! We were all freaking out. Thankfully, there was another flight just a few hours later. So, when we got back to Rome, we waited for her in the airport and had some dinner. She finally made it back to Rome and we all headed home! Justine and I figured out that the fastest and cheapest option for us to get home from the airport is to take the train so we got to ride it for the first time!! It was very fun! We only live a few blocks from the station so it was so nice and convenient! It was an incredible weekend!! I miss Belgium already!
