So this morning I woke up and got ready and went and met Marisa at the train station by my house! After coming home and getting her settled we went out for coffee at a place down the street from where I live. It is on my favorite street in Rome - the one with the candle shop! It has a million cute places to eat and shop! It is very very authentic Italian. After eating we came home to grab our cameras and set out for lunch. We came across a pizza place that had truffle oil pizza and pesto pizza! After we had lunch we headed to the coliseum but we walked through a park that had a dog park in it! It was very nice to get away from the city life for a little walk! We walked around the coliseum then took a road I had never taken before that went all the way around the Roman Forum and to the Circus Maximus! It was so cool! It is just a huge dirt road now but it was so cool to walk down and imagine what had happened there. Then we walked back towards home where we got gelato from my second favorite place in Rome! All along the way all day we sat in cool places and just talked and took in the incredible views and history because we are still so fascinated by it all. After gelato we went back home to recharge our feet and our phones haha then we researched places for dinner! We went to a place that school had on the recommended restaurants list and it was so good! I got gnocchi with roasted cheese and tomatoes then chocolate cake!!! It for sure made it on my top restaurants! Good food and very nice staff! Then we came back home after a few hour long dinner and got ready to go explore the night! We went to an Ice Bar just down the street! We had to wear huge parkas and everything was made of ice! The cups the chairs the rooms everything!!! It was soooo fascinating!! Then we headed home for the night so we can do more fun touristy things tomorrow!
