Semester in Europe!

So today was our last day of class and nothing special happened today except for reviewing for our exam! After class we went to the Uffitzi gallery and the art was incredible. We learned how the art trends developed and how different painters stepped out of the norm to help evolve art. Each ceiling in the museum was painted differently. One could honestly spend hours wondering around that museum. It was beautiful! And it sits near the middle of the city on the river, so the views out the windows in the hallways were incredible! It was once owned by the Medici family who were very prominent in Florence back in the day. We then went shopping before we headed back for dinner! We found a lush (the face and body store) and freaked out because we are all obsessed with it in America. Alexa and I both got facemarks. We also went to some makeup stores and the leather market one last time! Our last night they let us be American and served us chicken nuggets and French fries and chocolate cake!! It was hilarious. The french fries tasted very American, but the chicken had a unique flavor and it was delicious!! I understand now though why Americans are so much more over weight than the rest of the world... Then Alexa and I did our new face masks from Lush and talked for a very long time! It makes me very happy how fast I was able to bond with people here because naturally we all have a sense of adventure in common. I am very excited to get to Rome but am nervous to see how the friend dynamic evolves as we all live separately. I pray it doesn't change much because these girls are absolutely incredible!
