Semester in Europe!

We came by train to Prague which was so cool and very pretty! After checking into our hotel we went to a restaurant that is in a square next to our hotel! It was called Kolkovna and it was a traditional czech restaurant! I surprisingly loved the food!! The next morning we had signed up for the free walking tour of Old Town and New Town so before hand we ate lunch in that same square by our hotel! The tour was AWESOME! We learned all the history of the Czech Republic and got to see awesome parts of the city! We saw Old Town Square, the market, Astronomical Clock, a few churches, the Jewish Quarter, and much more! One main square that we stopped in has a national history museum at the end where Mission Impossible was filmed! After the tour we went back to Old Town where we found an Italian restaurant to have dinner in. It ended up being a funny Czech twist on Italian food! The next morning after breakfast we took our time walking to the meeting point for the Castle Tour that we signed up for and along the way we were able to stop in the touristy shops and go back to the market! For the Castle Tour we got to see the entire Castle District! (the third of 4 in Prague) We first stopped at a monastery before getting beer to go (so strange to me still) that was rated the best beer in the world in 2014. We then walked all around the area of the city and went inside the Castle which is now the offices of the president! After we finished in the castle we went to John Lennon wall which during the time of Communism, teenagers wrote song lyrics and poems to bring themselves peace. When John Lennon died it became a tribute to him! We then were able to walk over Charles Bridge on our way back to the hotel! We stopped for the second time this weekend to get Turtlenecks which are their desserts that taste like cinnamon pretzels!! We got chocolate and strawberries in the middle of them! Our last dinner we had in the steak restaurant in our hotel haha and we are off to Germany!
