We woke up and went to get crepes for breakfast! I always get chocolate strawberry so I switched it up and miss read the menu and ended up with a lime and sugar crepe... It was delicious though!!! After breakfast we set out to find Old Town! On our way we stopped at the side of Lake Geneva and took so many pictures. We saw the Jet D'eau which is the huge water spout in bay of the lake. It was so cool. We also walked out on a little island off one of the bridges that has an amazing view of the lake. Once you get to the other side of the lake in Geneva there is their famous shopping street that has about every designer you could possibly think of, and then some. As we kept walking we found a few chocolate shops and a lot of watch and pocket knife shops. We stopped in a few and saw everything! Once we made it to Old Town we walked all through it and found the Cathedral that you can basically see from all of Geneva. We went through it before finding a very cool lookout on the other side of Old Town. What we later realized was we were standing on top of the Reformation Wall. We found adorable rocking horses and a ton of joggling boards so we sat there for a long time taking in the breathtaking views of the Alps. We then walked down the wall and realized what it was! There is a huge park that the wall starts so we explored it a little bit. We found the famous Giant Chess and watched adorable little old men move the big chess pieces around. There were also ping pong tables and other activities for everyone to do in the park. We decided to explore a little more and we came across another park that had a ton of street vendors and what appeared to be a fair that was either coming or going! There we got hotdogs because for some reason they are everywhere here! They were delicious and they put them in baguettes. France is so close to here so there is a ton of French influence! They also speak French here but it is obvious that it is a different dialect. After lunch I got a HUGE macaroon that was chocolate but it had blackberries in the middle! It was the best one I have ever had. We then made our way back to Old Town where I decided to climb the bell tower and it was the most incredible view of the city. There were easily like 300 stairs but it was SO worth it. You could see everything in the town, the lake, and the Alps. After this we went back to the hostel to freshen up and put warm clothes on for night time. We went by the lake and watched the sunset! Then we went to a little strip of land island for dinner that is called Bains des Pâquis. There we got fondue because Switzerland is famous for their fondue! It was incredible... Who doesn't love melted cheese!! We then walked around some more looking for dessert and we finally ended up getting Ben & Jerry's ice cream (which I miss way too much) and heading back in for the night!
