Semester in Europe!

So we woke up and went back to this place that we saw had "American Breakfast" when we were exploring yesterday. We walked in and it was packed with locals, which is always a good sign. They had two pages full of coffee options on their menu! They also had bacon, eggs any way, pancakes, a multitude of pastries, and much more. We were so excited. I ordered pancakes and they came with not only syrup, but also Nutella, white chocolate, and two kinds of jams on the side to put on if desired. While the pancakes were not as good as dad's, they were still delicious and I would definitely go back again and get them. I also got a cappuccino with cinnamon and it was amazing!! The workers were so friendly and happy to be working -- it definitely was a very local atmosphere. After breakfast, we walked to the Trevi Fountain with a few stops in stores along the way. After people watching and reenacting a few more scenes from the Lizzie McGuire movie, we headed to a few more sights before lunch. We went to the church that I had gone to earlier in the semester that does not have a dome on it, but has a ceiling that is painted to trick the eye into thinking that it does. We also went to the Pantheon. I had so much fun playing tour guide even though my tours mostly consisted of "oh the restaurant next to this has such and such and it is so good!" But I really was impressed at how much I have retained from class and the tours thus far. After the pantheon, we walked to school to meet my friends at a little cafe to decided where we wanted to go for lunch. We decided on the restaurant that we went to for Valentine's Day and we sat there and talked for hours. After lunch, we went to the Magnum ice cream place to create our own ice cream bars! I decided it is a must to take everyone who visits to. We then went to H&M, which we love because it is so different from the American one. After shopping around a bit we headed to Taylor's apartment so she could change and we could rest our feet. We all decided to go to the Perfect Bun for dinner in hopes to avoid having pasta or pizza for yet another meal (unfortunately, yes it does get old). After dinner we walked back to my apartment to get ready to head out. We tried to go to this coffee house/ art gallery that is by my apartment for live music but it was so crowded we didn't even have a place to stand inside! We then tried another venue down the street and it too was crowded. My neighborhood is full of local culture and it is super laid back so there are lots of places to go in the evening and listen to live music and sit and enjoy the company and atmosphere. We finally just found a pub to sit and talk and watch the soccer game in before heading back in for the night. We definitely are going to try to go to those live music venues again another night.
