Semester in Europe!

So today after class we went and got take out pizza from Gusta's pizza around the corner from school! We took it to the balcony upstairs by our classroom and sat outside and ate our pizza because it was such a beautiful day!! Then we went on a tour to see the real David statue by Michelangelo! There are many replicas around Florence but the real one is in the Accademia which is about a mile away from school! It was so cool to see it because it is huge and carved from a singular piece of marble. David is the representation of David from David and Goliath! In the Bible story, David was only about 14 years old. Therefore, Michelangelo portrayed him with huge hands and feet because like most teenage boys, he looked like a puppy still growing into himself. Also, the strong, large hands and neck were a sign of strength. Additionally, Michelangelo did not circumcise David in the statue. It is very hard to tell in the statue (or I'm super ignorant... Probably this second excuse) but our tour guide was very excited to tell us that fun fact. We then went to the police (the office was much like our DMV because it had a lot of offices of the state in it) and we got certified to be an immigrant?? No idea what we actually did... But we had a little bit of drama because Sarah's roommate thought she had lost her passport when in reality there was a huge mixup of passports and honestly no one has any idea what happened but long story short everyone has their own passport now! Moral of the story is never loose sight of your passport I guess! After this we went back to the hotel to freshen up and then went out to a cool makeup store we passed! We have been going in all the European makeup stores and simply playing and we love it!!! We then went to H&M and got staples like socks because we are trying real hard to not do laundry until Rome so we don't have to pay!! Then we had dinner which was delicious! We had ratatouille!!! After dinner we all prepared for oral interviews that we have tomorrow! I'm excited for it!! Anyway, I have to wake up at 4:45am my time to FaceTime my friends for Miss Auburn callouts! It's so exciting!
