Europe

We awoke to a very sunny morning, Richard again had shorts on & I left the house without my cardigan!!
We headed back to Jardin Darcy to complete one of the loop walks, I did call in for a coffee on the way.
We headed down Boulevard de Sevigne past a building with bees on its facade & under the railway bridge & turned into the Jardin Des Sciences De L’Arquebuse. The gardens were lovely, we walked through the park & along a couple of residential streets before entering the Chartreuse De Champmol which is now a specialist hospital centre, it was previously a Carthusian Monastry. We were heading for Puits de Moïse, the well of Moses which would have been located in the main cloisters.
We then tried to exit the hospital grounds to head along the river but in the end had to go back the way we’d entered as there was a fence along the river side. We did locate the start of the river walk which we’ll now do tomorrow, this is off our tourist map!!
We wandered back along a different route & stopped into the Couvent Des Bernadine’s which was just closing. We called into the supermarket on the way past & purchased a baguette for lunch (cold lamb).
We listened to the end of the Richmond football game, they won & then had lunch.
I was working on the Moroccon diary when we heard a lot of chanting & noticed protesters outside the prison at the end of our road, they then headed past us, we think it was a yellow vest march, no police presence at all. The 24th Saturday in a row.
I’ve done the ironing from yesterday’s washing. Richard is making some stock as he could only find bouillon cubes & not liquid stock, it smells delicious.
