Europe

After breakfast & a bath, yes a bath, 1st bath since I had a really small bath at Lily Ponds, we headed out to the Tourist Information for a map. Our walk was lovely, it was sunny & warm, Richard even had his shorts on. We passed lots of lovely buildings on our way & stood for a few minutes in the Place de la Liberation watching an ornate balastrade being removed. We located the tourist information & I got a map, we also purchased the companion guide to the owl walk. I’d googled a coffee shop so headed there next - espresso t, coffee was good & usual long life milk taste. Richard had a wander & found a nice arch, so after coffee & locating the market on the map we headed off to see the nice arch & then made our way to the market. Unfortunately though the market was open about 60% of the stalls were closed. We had a wander, got to love the French markets with a bar in the middle, & purchased some pate for lunch. We found a Boulanger & purchased some bread & wandered home via Place Wilson, spring has definitely sprung in Dijon, there’s lots of daffodils, tulips & blossom on the trees. We got home & I put on some washing & we had lunch. I’ve now had a good look at the map & have some walks in mind around Dijon, Richard had a nap.
We headed out at about 4pm to explore our surrounding closer to home & called into the supermarket on our way home. There’s a prison at the end of our street & a lovely little park.
The supermarket was quite a large one & we stocked up for the Easter weekend just in case the shops are closed tomorrow.
