Europe

We headed into the tourist information to get a map. €1.50 but it does include a walking trail & some historical information about some of the buildings. The queue was long, we also asked for tour information. We then walked to “oh my goodness” a cafe for a coffee, it was set up by an Australian barista, my coffee was very nice & Richard had a nice wander around. We then headed to Petite France, it was so pretty. Lots of shops decorated for Easter, I can only imagine how pretty it would be here at Christmas, they do have Christmas Markets. We watched a couple of the boats go through the lock & had a nice wander around, we even spotted some bee hives & a man vacuuming the cobblestones. We purchased lunch on the way home arriving back at the apartment at 1.45pm, a very late lunch today. I booked our tour for Friday & after Richards afternoon nap we headed into the Jardin Botanique, there was only one entrance which took us a while to locate, it contains a lake & we heard frog calls, labelled trees & plants & we did see red squirrels scurrying around. It was forecast for rain & the clouds were getting quite grey so we headed to the supermarket. Luckily we arrived home before the storm although it was really windy & starting to get cool. We sat in the apartment & watched the lightning, it then thundered & we then had quite heavy rain for about 10 mins, it seems to be getting brighter again now.
