Europe

We packed & headed off in Mums car driving to Holyhead in North Wales.
The weather wasn’t good & at times visibility was very poor, but we did pass through some beautiful countryside. We also went through four or five tunnels, I’m looking forward to our return as I think we go along the coast.
We stopped at Asda & purchased some sandwiches & made our way to the ferry terminal, it wasn’t long until we boarded, parked the car & made our way to the bar which provided comfortable seats & a forward view. Luckily the weather had improved & there was no wind so our 3 1/4 hour crossing was very smooth. We headed back to the car as the ferry was docking & it wasn’t long before we were able to drive off the ferry, we put the address in the sat nav, we were stopped & asked our nationalities & having said British, we were waved through. Although it wasn’t far to our accommodation the traffic was quite heavy being the end of peak hour. Luckily we had brought something for dinner with us & some milk so we didn’t need a supermarket. I had a quick walk down to the water before our dinner of fettuccine bolognaise. I loved the treadle sewing machine, I think the owner would notice, plus it was too big to fit in my luggage!
