Europe

After a WhatsApp call with Mum we headed out to find a different coffee shop, located near the Metropol Parasol also known as the Seville mushrooms, I thought I’d located the correct cafe, although it wasn’t the correct name (that should have been a give away really) but it was one of the cafes from the TripAdvisor list, another give away should have been that they didn’t know what a latte was, anyway Richard went for a wonder & I had a coffee, which was ok. When I came out of the cafe of course I spotted Virgin coffee, a really small kiosk really, no inside seating just a few stalls in the square. Virgin didn’t open until 11am, it was after 11 when we arrived but I don’t think it was open & that’s why I hadn’t seen it. In search of tea bags we headed to the El Corte Ingles supermarket & actually found Twinnings English Breakfast teabags, we also purchased potatoes, salad items & steak for dinner & some jamon for lunch. There is such a huge choice of jamons iberico it’s amazing, made from pigs native to the peninsula & cured sometimes for years at a time. We headed home, on the way purchasing some bread for lunch. It’s been great that our apartment is so central that we can come home for lunch. After lunch & a rest we headed the opposite way along the river, past some filming & the cruise ship port. There were lots of rowers, canoes & kneeling paddle boarders on the river. We returned home for dinner.
