Europe

We did some washing & headed out to find the Copenhagen Coffee Lab. Before we left Melbourne Richard had said he’d found me a nice place for coffee, I had thought it was in Cape Town but no it was Lisbon. The coffee was fantastic, well worth the 2 month wait!! We then headed into Baixa & encountered a student demonstration, they were meeting at Parliament & we think the protest was about climate change, Richard said there’d been similar protests in other cities around the world. We wondered through Baixa & then along the foreshore as it was a beautiful day & too early for lunch. We had lunch at the Time Out Market, it still housed a very small market but 3/4s had been converted, there were lots of communal tablets, some sitting other standing in the middle & around the outside lots of different restaurants, but nice quality ones not like a food court. Richard was keen to try the salted cod & selected a restaurant that made a gratinated salted cod & also pork cheeks with mashed potatoes & bacon, we shared both dishes with a bottle of Portuguese Sav Blanc & everything was delicious. We purchased some Portuguese tarts & walked home. I did the ironing & we packed before having a light, late dinner of salad, bacon, avocado & some bread, it was delicious.
