Europe

Richards ankle was still really sore so I headed out to have a coffee, the cafe with the “best lattes” was closed & didn’t look like just for today. It had rained overnight & was still raining, which makes it harder to find your way & appreciate a city. I did have a walk along the seafront & then purchased flour & butter at the supermarket & then tried to purchase anti-inflammatories for Richard, over the counter neither 12.5 or 50 mg were available only by prescription, the pharmacist suggested ibuprofen so I purchased those.
I made cheese scones with the buttermilk for lunch which were really nice. The rain eased just after 2pm & as Richards ankle wasn’t feeling too bad we headed to the supermarket. I then headed to the tourist information to hire the digital city walk - Oostende during World War One through the eyes of a tram driver, unfortunately they won’t hire them out after 3pm so I walked along the seafront, walked out on the breakwater, followed the harbour & looped back to the apartment which took me just over an hour, it was sunny but really windy & quite cool on the breakwater.
