Europe

We awoke to rain, it had rained most of the night.
Richard made boiled eggs for breakfast with eggs from the farm & also soda bread, yum.
As it was forecast to rain all day we changed our plans of driving the ring of Kerry, I didn’t think we’d see very much as even the hills we could see out of our windows were shrouded in mist / cloud & my photos definitely wouldn’t be any good.
I’d found an open cafe & also supermarket so we headed there, the coffee was really nice, we purchased ingredients for Irish Stew & a newspaper & headed back.
We’d hoped the rain would ease so we could go for a walk in Tralee Woods but it rained or heavily drizzled all day.
Unfortunately the internet wasn’t good, you had to sit by the front door or sometimes stand outside to get reception.
I read my book most of the day & Richard alternated sitting by the front door & reading his newspaper. We both managed an afternoon nap.
The Irish stew was lovely & perfect for the weather. I only managed a short walk along our road, between showers when Richard was preparing dinner.
At least the lodge is lovely & the bed very comfortable!
