Europe

We packed & caught the tram to the station to board our train to Paris East. We again had 1st class tickets, the country side was beautiful with lots of mustard & grain fields, 1/2 timbered farm houses & some villages with beautiful churches. We came into Paris past Sacre Coeur. We walked about 10 mins to Gare Magenta & purchased metro tickets. We got off the metro at Haussmann Saint-Lazare & walked through to Paris Saint-Lazare & boarded our train to Caen.
We had been a bit nervous about the changing stations as we only had one hour & 10 minutes but all went smoothly & we were had the station 30 mins before our train left.
If we’d driven it would have been 745kms, luckily we were able to take a fast train & the actual journey only took four hours.
We walked the 23 mins to our apartment arriving at 4.40pm & were meet by the agent. Luckily we are really near the supermarket & we have purchased pasta for dinner, some wine & some milk for a cup of tea which we enjoyed on our balcony overlooking Eglise Saint-Sauveur.
