Europe

We packed & headed off in the car, leaving at 9.15 we thought we’d miss the worst of the traffic but unfortunately there was an accident north bound (we were heading south) & a truck broken down on the hard shoulder south bound & the traffic was terrible both directions on the motorway, once past this it flowed freely.
We decided to detour to the Wicklow Mountains National Park on our way, which were beautiful, the water from here is used to make Guinness we’d learnt yesterday. We stopped at an old mining village which is now in ruins & had a short walk. The view was amazing & so was the country side. We stopped for scones & a pot of tea for lunch in Dunlavin (the sandwiches & soup didn’t look too good!!) & then continued along country roads until we rejoined the motorway.
We found our accommodation, we think it must have been a former council house, & headed for a walk into the town & to the supermarket. It was lovely & sunny & actually quite warm, mid 20’s & a weather warning had been issued!!
We’ve had Irish steak, boiled potatoes & salad, lovely.
We are hoping the bed is much more comfortable here.
