2017 Alaska adventure - Beat feet back to Virginia

On September 10, Hurricane Irma hit our home of Marco Island at 3:35 PM. Although originally a Cat 5, it hit the island as a Cat 3 with catastropic damage to many areas of the island. Our house received relatively minor damage to the roof, lanai screens, and trees. As such, once we left Wyoming, we headed directly back to Viriginia to drop everything off and then headed to Marco for cleanup and damage assessment. Thankfully Robbie and Hagan had already planned to be in Marco on their anniversary of September 20 so they were able to provide much needed help cleaning up our property, helping out the neighborhood, and the community.
