2017 Alaska adventure - Skagway, Alaska

Skagway, Alaska, 09.04.2017

We took a side trip from Whitehorse to Skagway, Alaska. We stopped in Skagway on our Alaskan cruise a couple of years ago. We were going to take the Whitepass & Yukon Route railway but the rain and fog were so heavy that we wouldn’t have been able to see anything. So we opted to save money and drive to Skagway. It was only about a 1 ½ hour trip so not bad. The train ride is very scenic and traverses the mountain and through tunnels. Skagway is a very charming town. The rain was constant and the temperatures were in the 50s so we hopped from one store to another and grabbed lunch.
