2017 Alaska adventure - Whitehorse, Yukon to Iskut, British Columbia

We left Whitehorse and headed to Iskut, BC. It was a long drive and again no wildlife sightings. It is now moose hunting season so the moose have learned to head for cover. We did stop in Jade City, BC. The ‘city’ consists of a couple of buildings and around 50 residents. Jade City earned its name as a commercial outlet for jade mined from the nearby Cassiar Mountains. 1 million pounds of jade is mined each year in the Cassiar Mountains.
