Calgary to San Francisco
We left Santa Cruz today to drive over to Lake Tahoe. We arranged to meet Richard at a mall on the way so we could all go together. The traffic was a nightmare for us and for him so it was later than we intended when we all met up. As Richard needed to do some shopping I stayed and travelled with him while Scott, Rachel and the girls decided to set off. Richard’s hire car had been upgraded so he had a Mustang convertible which was very nice to travel in. We went the scenic route after we had got out of the very busy traffic. It was a lovely drive through the small towns, mountains and forests. We passed by derelict goldmines in Jackson and glimpsed a beautiful sunset through the trees. Somewhere along the way we lost our phone signal for the directions and must have missed a turn as we ended up crossing into Nevada and coming into Tahoe from that end! Anyway we all arrived safely but quite late.

Moving to Lake Tahoe
