Calgary to San Francisco
After a slow start to the morning we caught a bus into Santa Barbara. We got off in the centre and walked along the Main Street looking round the shops. The girls spent ages in Claire’s before coming out with their bargains - buy 3 get 3 free. We went to a nice micro brewery for lunch and then walked down to the beach where we spent the afternoon. Lola and Evie had another wonderful time in the sea with the boogie board. It was hot but there was a nice sea breeze which made it bearable. We walked back to the transit centre looking in a few more shops and at the stalls on the farmers market that had been set up along the middle of the street. There was lots of fresh produce from the many farms in the area. We have passed lots of agricultural land on our way down the coast growing a variety of fruit and veg, the fields going on for miles, and have seen pickers out there. It must be very hot work! Back to the campground for tea, showers and bed.
