Calgary to San Francisco
We moved on to Malibu today. It’s not that far down the coast so we were there by lunchtime. It was a lovely ride down and as the waves are a bit bigger further down we saw lots of surfers. The campground is set on the hillside just over the road from the beach so Scott and Rachel took the girls over there while I saw to the laundry we needed to do and then I went over to join them. They were having great fun playing with bats and a ball and in the water with the boogie board. The sea was a bit rougher and the waves quite strong as at one point they even knocked Scott over. Later in the afternoon we drove down the coast to Santa Monica Pier hoping to have a look round and then see it lit up as it got dark. However we couldn’t find anywhere to park the RV. Either they wouldn’t allow them in or they wanted at least four times the price of a car to park. We decided to give it a miss and drove back calling for fish and chips on the way and we saw the sun setting over the bay.
