Calgary to San Francisco
This morning we went to the Stampede Ground for breakfast. It was very busy as free breakfasts were on offer. No free breakfasts left but instead had waffles and Kian had fish and chips! We had a wander round and then Kian and Chris went to watch the Motor-cross display whilst Lindsey and I battled our way through the crowds to the Grandstand where we all went to watch the rodeo. There was barrel racing, bareback riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc and bull riding. There were competitions for the youngsters including steer riding and bareback riding. Again the prize money is a big incentive to win. We then had another look round the marketplace admiring the big RV, cars, boats etc which were in a lottery and Lindsey had her hair done with a heat brush. Back at the condo we did some packing before going for a walk along the Bow River to Prince’s Island Park. Along the way we saw some beavers and lots of ducks coming out of the river onto the grass for the night.
