Another travel through day today.
We went from Mississippi to Alabama and it was pretty interesting to see the change in landscape within 2 to 3 hours of driving. The trees look very different and the actual landscape itself has gone from swampy and level to hilly and rocky.
Couldn't get over the damn magnolia trees along the interstate again this morning until it dawned on me to Google the Mississippi state flower. Yup, magnolias.
And sure enough, we crossed the state line to Alabama and no more magnolia trees.
More beautiful wild flowers, but still no photos.
Very quiet day - might take the boys to a place with go karts, mini golf etc this afternoon.
On to NASHVILLE tomorrow (I might be just a little excited).
(End note - today was not my day for attractions. The two I suggested we go to, including the go karts and mini golf place, were shut on Mondays - boys rather disappointed. Oops. Made up for it with dinner at a pretty cool Mexican Cantina - thank goodness the boys love food!)
