The Smith's USA Trip

Up early this morning to get ready and onto the bus for the first of the Talladega days.
Last night we'd met a New Zealand family in the hotel pool who were also here for the Talladega package and when getting on the bus we came across two guys in Holden shirts. Got talking to them and couldn't believe it, they were from Traralgon. Ended up they were sitting next to us at the track too.
Great pair of blokes and it was fun to have someone who sounded like us and understood our stupid jokes. Not sure the Americans were entirely sure what to make of us though.
Today's racing was pretty good. We all enjoyed it, bought ourselves some Talladega souvenirs and (no surprise really) I managed to get myself sunburnt, despite sunscreen. It was pretty hot out there in the sun all day.
Late night back at the hotel and an even earlier morning tomorrow.
