We decided that for our last full day in San Diego we'd have a bit of a chill out day and take it easy.
Craig had spotted a tour two days before that was in an amphibious vehicle so we headed back down to the bay to see if we could get tickets.
It was a fun tour and a different way to see the bay. The good part as far as I was concerned was that it took you out to see some of the Sea Lions that are resident to the bay. They were huge!
After the trip we got in the car and headed to a shopping outlet as we'd promised the boys some new shoes.
This place was pretty massive and it was right on the border between America and Mexico so we saw the huge fence, the border patrol cars and the walkway.
Interestingly the whole shopping outlet was set outside. I guess that makes sense for a state that averages only a couple of inches rain each year, but it did feel weird to be wandering in effectively a huge outdoor mall.
The boys were very excited to get their new runners (and of course all three of them had to get them at different stores).
Another good, relaxing day.
