This was pretty much just a travel through day for us today.
We made our way into Mississippi and headed across to Meridian. The wild flowers along the sides of the Interstate are just stunning. Tried to get photos, but not so easy when driving along.
We can't really make much sense of the speed systems over here - Craig is setting cruise control at the sign-posted speeds and traffic is still flying past us. When you consider that the sign-posted speed of 70 miles an hour is already about 115kms an hour I don't even want to think about what speed the others are doing.
Still finding it crazy how different the toilets are here and it seems like EVERY damn tap you go to use from one bathroom to the next is different too.
Mississippi was pretty, and definitely starting to head out of swamp land. Different plants showing up.
Amazed by the magnolias all along the interstate in Mississippi - they are HUGE and everywhere. Really pretty.
Quiet afternoon wandering the mall across the road from our hotel then splashing around in the pool with the boys.
My tablet is officially stuffed, hence why there has been no input here for a while.
We found a pretty awesome place for dinner last night called O'Charleys. Really yummy food, great price and ohhhhh my goodness and AWESOME cocktail called a Spiced Whiskey Lemonade. Told Craig we'll be eating there again at some stage and might have to find myself some cinnamon whisky when we get home... so goooooooddddddd.
Tomorrow it's into Alabama.
