The Smith's USA Trip

We slept in a little this morning after a couple of big days.
Our plans today were to spend the morning in DisneyLand and then meet up with my cousin, Tim, for lunch in Downtown Disney.
The park was a bit of a case of deja vu after having been to Magic Kingdom in Disney World. The big difference we noticed firstly was that the castle was so much smaller here.
Other than that, again the buildings are built so well to create an amazing atmosphere.
The rides here were similar too. There were a few we went on that we found really fun but some are quite tame compared to other places we visited.
Out to have lunch in Downtown Disney, which became an extended lunch. It was great to catch up with Tim seeing as it had been 9 years since we'd last seen him.
After lunch it was back into Disney Land and some more rides. We had our longest wait for a ride here to do Splash Mountain. Unbeknownst to us, the ride had been closed in the morning so all the people with morning fast passes had been given new times. We ended up waiting around 2 hours for this ride. Too long, definitely.
The plan was to go back over to California Adventure to see the World of Colours show that evening but Blake had a melt down during the ride wait so Craig took him back to the hotel while Kaine and I went and watched. Beautiful show in tribute to Walt Disney.
