The Smith's USA Trip

This was our last chance to get back to Disney and redo the rides we'd most enjoyed so it was back to the parks again today.
We started in California Adventure again as we most wanted to go back on rides that were there and we were also planning on heading in to Disney Land late that night to see the fireworks from inside the park.
We headed straight for the Cars ride we'd loved before and our plan was to get a fast pass for a little later, as it was the longest wait we'd had in this park. The wait was already huge, despite it being 10am and when we found the fast pass tickets, it was already backed up till 6-7pm.
The boys were a little bit shattered as we'd booked tickets to go to the Medieval Dinner for that night and it meant we couldn't get on the Cars ride.
We did enjoy our morning in the park and after a few rides and some photos decided it was time to head across to DisneyLand instead. Spent part of our afternoon there on more rides before heading back to the hotel for quick showers.
The Medieval Dinner was great. Watching the knights 'joust' and compete in games was fun and we were all given a colour to support so that you could cheer for your knight.
The food was actually really yummy too, so that was a definite bonus. We got back a little earlier than we'd expected so it was straight back to DisneyLand for our last night in the US. Some more rides that we'd missed earlier in the day and then we wound our way round to the back of the park for the fireworks as another mum at the hotel had suggested it was a good place to see them. It was a fantastic spot, though you couldn't hear the music all that well and I would have liked to see them over the castle itself, but still a great experience. Really beautiful.
Once again we'd been so lucky with our timing. Disney was all done up for its 60th Anniversary, the fireworks went for 17 minutes every night. Just a spectacular experience.
