Our first night in Florida.
We were on the road this morning with a plan to visit GatorLand in Orlando before going to our hotel. The boys loved the park - much better than Gator Country that we visited in Texas.
So many gators here! They also had pythons, bob cats, birds and a variety of crocodiles. Craig had some choice words to say when looking into the pen of one lot of crocodiles and the boys told him there was another below him - MASSIVE alligator that had just slowly surfaced directly in front of Craig. No wonder they can get their prey so well. Silent predators, that's for sure.
The boys got to 'wrestle' a gator and we a short ride on their GatorLand Express. An interesting (though kind of expensive) way to spend the afternoon.
Only a 15 to 20 minute drive to our hotel. The place is awesome! Two story, two bedroom villa - full kitchen, 'laundry' and only a two minute walk across to the pool, water slides and lazy river. Bar right next to the pool with a 4-7 happy hour.
Only thing I'm not happy about - seeing the tail of a snake disappear into the garden on my way to the pool. Not happy Jan!!!
