Yamas!

Today we enjoyed our first port of call, Corinth, Greece.

We took an excursion to see the ruins at Ancient Corinth, which is where the Apostle Paul defended his beliefs to the Romans. We saw where he stood trial, and was then forced to leave this area of Greece. Later, he wrote his letters to the Corinthians to share God's word. (photo #1 and 2)

We then went on to the Corinth Canal. This is a seaway that connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Aegean Sea. The canal is 6.4 km in length and only 70 ft wide, making it impassable for most modern ships. Construction started in 1881 but was not completed until 1893. Today, the canal is mainly used as a tourist destination.

For any Amazing Race enthusiasts, you may have seen the teams bungee jumping from the bridge over the Corinth Canal. We got to see someone jump today...and thankfully it was not Jim or Pete! So cool!

In our final photo, we enjoyed spending the evening with Dave and Michelle! Such a fun couple!
