Yamas!
Corfu is a beautiful island located just off the west coast of mainland Greece. Corfu was a colony of the Roman Empire for many years, so the Venetian influence is evident in the elegant buildings in old town Corfu.
We got off the ship at 10:00 am and met up with 2 lovely ladies that we have been dining with for the past few nights, Julie and Helen. We took the bus to the town and spent some time enjoying the town and strolling down the narrow streets exploring the shops. (photo 1)
Julie and Helen wanted to continue browsing the shops, but the 4 of us wanted to spend some time at the beach! We found a wonderful little spot just below the palace to enjoy the sunny day! It was wonderful! We had some time to swim in the warm waters of the Mediterranean and then made our way back to the ship! What a nice relaxing day! (photos 2, 3 and 4)
