This morning after breakfast we took a drive along the Angeles Crest Highway. This is a 60 mile road that winds up and through the mountains that surround LA. It provides spectacular views of the city, some of the homes in the LA hills and the surrounding hills and plains. The landscape was remakably different to what we have seen driving through places such as Portland and Vermont. It is much dryer and the plant life mainly consists of small shrubs. The road was very windy and Nadia started to feel a little motion sick by the time we got to the end of the drive.

We stopped for lunch at a nearby shopping strip and then drove to Glendale Galleria shopping mall to look for a couple of things for Damien. We also went to the nearby Americana outdoor shopping mall. After wandering through the shops for the afternoon we left, empty handed, and headed back home. We didn't cook dinner this time, but Mary made delicious fajitas.
