It was time to leave New York and head to Portland. We had a pretty uneventful trip, which is pretty much how you want it! Nadia noticed a bit of turbulence on the way over and felt unwell but Damien was too busy watching The Goonies to notice the bumps. We arrived in Portland and caught a shuttle bus to the Car Rentals. The driver was very chatty - telling us a lot about Portland and Oregon. Appratently he travelled around 42 States in the 70s and loved Portland so much he hasn't left. Mary, Adrian, Miranda and Jude landed in Portland about 90 minutes after us. That gave us time to pick up a few things we needed and grab a quick bite before heading back to the airport.

We are all sharing a house in a nice suburb in the North-East of Portland. There are a lot of nice shops, bars and retaurants that are walking distance away. We are pretty excited about having a kitchen for the first time in a month! We all headed to get some groceries and then Adrian found a spot that sounded good for dinner. The place had a nice beer garden out the back and we all enjoyed our meals.
