We stopped here to have lunch, before travelling onto the next spot 40 Klms down the road, however, I discovered that we had lost the
window AGAIN!!!
Oh My Goodness:
That window again:
Apparently I hadn't locked it. I'm sure I did!!! (Maybe my pants are smouldering!!!- You know: Liar, Liar pants on fire!) So, we uncoupled yet again and went back. It was about 150 klms back to Karratha, where we had filled up with water and I had been in the van. It was a lot harder to see as there were a lot of banks along the side of the road, so we got all the way back. Re-filled with petrol, aback to the van and headed back to the van. Each bank/bridge we stopped and Father got out to look. Finally about 60 klms from where we had left the van I saw it. Sadly, it was a little more worse for the wear, with a small diagonal crack in one corner and a few scratches on the 'glass'. It was also a little more difficult to get back in, however,
Father saved the day and it was in. From now on: New rule: Both check hatches and windows before leaving!!! Thankfully we had left early that day so it was still daytime when this debacle was over.
Highlights
Scenery: The scenery along the way was pretty amazing- Lots of nothing and then huge boulders and interestingly shaped hills.
Some 'people' thought it was just barren!!!
