Month: March
Days stayed: 2
Weather: sunny and beautiful
We arrived via a different ferry, this time.s I was a tad concerned as the line to the ferry was huge, with lots of caravans. thankfully we only had to wait for 1 ferry to cross and come back. Nothing to worry about, we were able to park exactly where we wanted.- Oh yah!

Lovely!!!
Our first paid site- $5 per night!

Highlights:
Emus again!!!
My 'want to see bucket list':
This time they were in the paddocks, however, nowhere near as close as they were along the highway.

The Bleasdale Winery:
Being in wine country we decided to visit one and choose one randomly. As it turned out they had a museum attached with the old presses- very interesting. Being very cheap drunks (Not drinkers) we still bought a couple of bottles for 'the future.

The Cockle Train ride:
We headed into Goolwa which is nestled right on the edge of the inlet and booked our train ticket to Victor Harbour on the train with the idea of going to the island via the horse-drawn tram. After walking all the way to the tram station we found out that the tram was not working due to repairs needing to be down on the bridge across.
We were fortunate that the markets were running in the park near the station, so we had coffee and buns for lunch. I bought some 'healing' tea- we'll see how that goes. If nothing else it had a nice taste.

Oh my Goodness:
The on top of you back packers:
This Irish couple parked so close that they were virtually under our bedroom window. A lot of these back packers have 'not so desirable' cars, that give off a lot of disgusting smelling smoke.

They announced their arrival with that smell and left early in the morning leaving that smell! Oh yah! Disgusting!!!

The 'Poo- spewing' man:
We were lining up to do our 'constitution' before heading off to the next palace- dumping in the dump point near the camping ground, where we watched a lady get out of the car don her gloves and empty the poo cassette. Whilst later filling up water a little further on, still behind the same van, father asks the wife's husband: how did you manage that (getting his wife to do the dumping) He replied: I did it once and spewed my guts out! I immediately informed father that this was not an option for him!!!
