Again a stop over on the side of the road in... a gravel Pit!!! Just out of the Kakadu National Park. Very Quiet!
Highlights:
Cooinda- Yellow Waters Cruise:
This was a billabong and we saw... Crocodiles, both Johnson's (fresh water crocos) and salties (salt water crocs) Wild Buffalo and heaps of different kinds of birds and ducks.
We even say a bird skewer a live fish, flip it over and swallow it whole, head first. 1 metre from the boat. Amazing!!! The tour guide was a 'native' from the area and was extremely knowledgeable.Fabulous tour!!!
Lily Pad Flowers:
Beautiful and everywhere along the billabong!!! Amazing Jesus Birds-they walk on 'water' (The Lily pads)
