This was just a stop over on our way to Broome. Father met up again with 2 fellows from Cosey Corner in Albany. They had him giving them advise on how to fix a few things in their Jayco Van, so we left a little later in the morning for Broome.

This was just a stop over on our way to Broome. Father met up again with 2 fellows from Cosey Corner in Albany. They had him giving them advise on how to fix a few things in their Jayco Van, so we left a little later in the morning for Broome.
Oh My Goodness:
Ant Hills:
They were everywhere. Some of them had been decorated with hard hats. Some of the hard hats had been almost swallowed by the nest.Apparently, there are hundreds of miles of tunnels underneath- so we were told by the Port Hedland tour guide.
Highlights:
Sandfire Roadhouse: It was like a mini Oasis in the middle of nowhere. They surrounded the buildings with trees. There was a small pond with a little fountain, a shed showing the history of the place and a sitting area full of road signs. The original Matie worked for the Dept of main roads, before putting in an application for the roadhouse. There was also 2 beautiful peacocks walking around! Bizarre!!!
