Road Trip 2017

Today we had another leisurely wake up. The girls were so tired, so we let them sleep in. Then, we went out for breakfast. We just couldn’t eat cereal again today. Then, we set off.

Ah Colorado - Our favorite state closest to home! We love it here. The weather was nice and mild. We decided to drive to Boulder to show the girls the college and town. They weren’t all that interested, so we just drove through and then got back on the road to head to Castle Rock. The girls just couldn’t wait to get to Aunt Rachel and Aunt Stacey’s house!

We arrived at about 4:30, and got a tour of the new house. They’ve only been in it for about 2 months, and not a box in sight! We were very impressed! The house was gorgeous! We wished we could pick it up and bring it home with us. Rachel and Stacey bought the girls some Colorado souvenirs, and had them waiting in their room – adorable! The girls also had fun getting to know their two dogs – English Labs and so cute!

We hung out for a little while and then went out to eat at Union – a restaurant with small plates, big plates, and a long martini list. It was great!

On our way home, we stopped by a store called Bubbles. This place was like BevMo on steroids! If you can think of it, they have it! It was pretty amazing. Scott was able to make his own variety pack of local beer, and Stacy found a new flavor of spiked sparkling water.

Then, we went back to the house and just got ready for bed. It had been a long day, and we were all exhausted.
