Road Trip 2017

Today, we had another great breakfast and got ready to say our goodbyes. None of us really wanted to leave. We love it here, and Rachel and Stacey are truly great people to hang out with. The girls would have loved to end the trip by staying here longer and flying home in a few days, but they also wanted to see the last few things we had planned too. Now the girls know why we’ve always considered living in Colorado.

We set off for Utah. On the way, we drove through the beautiful and amazing Rocky Mountains. It was fun to see the landscape change from forested mountains, to canyon, to dry, rocky mountains and canyons as we made our way to Utah.

We stopped in Grand Junction to re-fuel on groceries for the rest of the trip. Then, back on the road. At one point, a group of goats almost ran in front of us on the highway!

We arrived at our RV Park at about 5:45, where we watched lightning strikes as we checked in. A little later, a heavy rain storm came in. Despite our efforts to convince the girls that this was a cool experience because we don’t get storms like this at home, the girls were not amused. They were hysterical, so we ate dinner and had a few more drinks before bed!
