Road Trip 2017

Today, we woke up and didn’t want to leave Boston. We love it here, and even more since it was 65 degrees! A nice break from the heat. Today was another long drive day, but we broke it up with some stops along the way.

We drove to Maine, and HAD to buy some lobster. They had a place that would steam it to go, so we did that, and then ate it in the RV. Not the best smelling ride after that, but well worth it. The lobster was FANTASTIC!!! It was the best we’ve ever had. We thought the tail was going to be the best since that’s all we’ve ever had in a restaurant, but boy were we wrong. The claws are THE BEST! Stacy and the girls had fun eating it with their Maine lobster bibs on.

This was officially the farthest we would be from home. As soon as we left Maine, we started making our way back home.

Next, we drove through New Hampshire and grabbed some sandwiches for lunch. This is a place we could see having a second home. It is so beautiful with all of the lakes and different water areas. We could envision floating on the lake and sitting in an Adirondack chair on the porch - so calm and peaceful looking.

Then, we drove through Vermont. Here, we had to make our first stop for some maple syrup. Then, since Vermont is the place where Ben & Jerry’s ice cream began, we had to make a stop for that too! We each bought a different flavor and sampled then as we drove. Yum!

We arrived at our RV park about 8:00pm, and set up camp. The girls decided they wanted to go for a run tonight, so they did that while we made dinner and opened some wine. Ahhh…quiet time!
