Tuesday, we got up early to catch out VivaColumbia flight to Medellin. We arrived at the Pitstop hostel after a windy road into the valley. We cooked our own dinner & chilled in front of the tele with some Barry's tea!
Wednesday, we poached a lot of eggs to set us up for 742 steps of Guatape Rock. We got a subway and then a 2 hour bus to the base of the rock, we climbed the rock with breathing breaks every 100 steps, but it was all worth it for the 'mirador de mundo'! We got an icecream at the bottom, then made our way back to the subway. After a little disagreement with the bus driver we learnt to always make sure you get on the bus provided by the travel agent you actually paid with. We got a Dunkin Donuts and treats at the central bus station, where we got the cable car to Acri, where we saw the living conditions in some of the city's poor which was eye opening. We stopped the sun set in San Domingo, where some young Colombian kids tried to tell us about the history of their country.
After getting back to the hostel we had another tasty home made meal and chilled out for the evening.
