After a tasty unexpected porridge and bagel breakfast, we made our way to pier 33, boarded the ferry landed on Alcatraz for our 10am tour! With the help of a rather impression audio tour we made our way around the cell block!
After some shameless selfies we departed the island and had our tasty lunch compliments of Hi Hostel!
After a coffee break, we rented our bike from the over enthusiastic blazing saddles!
We made out ascent to the Golden Gate Bridge (stopping about 5 times for all types of photo ops)! The bridge crossing was surreal but unfortunately only counted for about 10% of our KM count after a few missed turns!
We cycled down the hill into Sausalito (planning a nice happy hour stop of the way back!), in textbook Bramley style we ventured on in the search old mill park, to get a romantic tree hug!
In not so Bramley style (to Rachel's despair), the map was a little of proportion...happy hour plan gone!
So with aching quads and sore bums, we boarded the ferry and headed back in search of some dinner & some well deserved vino!
Steps - 15,000
KM's cycled - 31km plus
High - Golden Gate Bridge
Low - Laverne Hill detour
