Another early alarm! We caught the train from Fullerton to Union, and then the subway to Universal Station. After a much needed toilet stop and caffeine hit we entered Universal Studios!
With a strategic plan in place we headed straight to the Revenge of the Mummy ride, where I (Laura) confirmed that theme parks and roller coasters were not my cup of tea, but after some quick tears we headed to the studio tour which took us around the sound stages and sets, where we were able to drive down Wisteria Lane and see filming of house and home!
After this it was the special effects show, where with the help of minions we saw how special effects work in movies! We got some burgers in Kinkles Shack, then we went onto Super Silly Fun Land for the Minion ride.
Next we went to the water show, where stunt people put on an impressive performance. Then the Animal show where we lost Conor to a nap and Rach to some pigeons.
The rest of them went to the Simpson Ride, where SideShow Bobo tried to kill poor Bart, then the Jurassic Park Ride, with some drops and some 'light mist'!! Another Mummy Ride and everyone had had their thrills quota.
We got the subway, jogging through Union station to try catch the 6.45pm metro to Fullerton, but missed it by 2 minutes. After some shouting across the track to the police man, we were told be would have to get a 7.30pm Amtrek back instead!
We went to a Taco take out spot for tradition Mexican tacos, which were very tasty.
