The Sassy llamas

Thursday morning, we had breakkie in Ananay. After that we set off to the main clothes street which unfortunately was an uphill battle! We kitted ourselves out with long sleeve t shirts, white socks, nurses outfits and some homemade mossie nets (all for about 15euro).
Friday am, 4am start - we got a taxi to the airport. Boarding a 19 seater plane, within 45 minutes we had landed in Rurrenabarque airport. We found the Indigenous office, and passed the time by eating fabulous pastries in a little French patisserie. After that it was a 3 hour jeep trip before lunch, then we started our boat trip spotting alligators, turtles, birds and dolphins! We arrived at camp and checked out our lodges, then happy hour (popcorn!!!). We then dressed to impress for the sunset bar and watched the sunset through our nets! We got back to camp, and had a lovely dinner and then off to bed for a solid 10 hours sleep to crickets singing!
Saturday, we woke up and had breakfast over bite math! We put on our wellie boots and off we set to find some anacondas! We waded through marsh lands, losing interest quickly! After some lunch and a siesta Herman, Domingo and I were lucky enough to catch some of the clever fish, which we were served for dinner after another visit to the sunset bar with some wine compliments of Indigenia! After that we set off in the boats in darkness to see alligator eyes light up at at torch light!
Sunday, 8am breakfast, followed by a swim with pink dolphins! Lunch back at base, then the bumpy journey back to Rurrenabarque for our flight back to La Paz.

High - being celebs at the sunset bar
Low - mosquito paranoia
Bites - still calculating
